The hopper gate consists of a fixed body complete with flange to be connected to the silo or hopper discharge mouth, and a combined pneumatic cylinder that can perform a double opening, modifying the discharge section at an intermediate point between total discharge and complete closure.
The opening is controlled by dedicated solenoid valves. The crescent-shaped gate is hinged to the body and connected to the pneumatic actuator. The “wolf’s mouth” valve is used for gravity-fed silo extraction of free-flowing materials, such as atomized clay, plastic granules, or grains.
It can be used as a dosing valve, for example, in our big bag fillers, where the “slow-fast” function is useful for managing the approach to the desired weight.
